Zdeňka Imreczeová

Zdeňka Imreczeová currently studies the fifth year of the Fashion Design Studio led by Josef Ťapťuch at the AAAD in Prague.

Her recent successes include the participation in the finals of two editions of the Top Styl Designer organised by the Kabo Styl fashion trade fair in Brno. In 2007 she won the Igedo Company Award in the Top Styl Designer competition for her original “Dead Coat” collection. The award included the possibility of an artist exhibit at the Igedo Fashion Fairs in the Gallery Designers Modenschau in Düsseldorf this February.

Her other successful projects include the exhibit of her original collection entitled Vzpomínky (Memories) at the European Ways of Life v Nantes exhibit in 2006.

Zdeňka Imreczeová together with a group of young fashion designers participated in Designblok 07 under the “fashiondesigners” moniker. As part of Designblok’s accompanying events, a fashiondesigners show was held at the Roxy – Node Club where Zdeňka presented her original collection, Dead Coat.

She augmented her AAAD studies with a one-year internship at the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris, focusing on the relationship between fashion and the environment.

She characterises her work as follows: “It is playing with the form, space, and environment influenced by time, tradition, and memories as well as current society’s existence.”
